Message from the Executive Director

Dear friends and supporters,

We have successfully passed our 20th year of service. On behalf of all the children, youth, families and communities whom we support, I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all the individuals and organizations that have been there for us.

Despite a challenging economic situation, CHILDREN-Nepal (CN) has had a fruitful year and continues to look ahead with new programs and services for those in need.

Highpoints from this past year:
– Supporting 377 children to attend school who have proudly achieved a 98.47% pass rate. Eighty of these students are studying in higher education or at the technical level.
– Completing 75% of construction on the Fulbari Resource Centre. We have built and furnished office space with furniture and equipment, and constructed two biogas plants.
– Helping employ 354 people and paid Rs 621,450.05 tax to the government.

Future plans:
– Extending the “Alternative to Violence” program to public schools.
– Raising funds for the Fulbari Resource Centre to complete construction on the multipurpose building and other structures of the centre (including 6 wooden houses).
– Providing professional development opportunities to staff and members of CN through cultural exchange, study, visits and training programs.
– Continuing ongoing activities of CN.

We look forward to another flourishing year, as well as your continued support.

With much appreciation,

Ram Chandra Paudel
Executive Director and Founding President
